Former Port Record Holder - Halibut

We also held the Port Record for a rod caught Halibut a colossal 34 LB 8 oz which was caught in July 2005 during the WCSA Summer Fishing Festival, the Angler would have won £1100 but he didn't enter the competition!!!! This record was recently broken by another Traditional Whitby Fishing Boat overground less than 5 miles out to sea in June 2009.
